Reforestation in Sequoia National Forest was supposed to be already underway naturally, but the wind was quickly taken out of my sails when I arrived to fire damage. The forest must rebound from seasonal fires with lots of vegetation growing where the forest was burned. Charred remains are highly nutritious for new growth, and lots of greenery was already sprouting in the area I scouted.
This made me glad, considering the campsite I had intended on using nearby the damage was closed. There was already new mammals and reptiles making the area their home. The only thing it needed was tree seeds.
